Floor Plan

You may be wondering what this house is supposed to look like once it is finished. In an earlier episode we mentioned the winnowing process we went through to find a house we wanted.

 

The features that we liked about this house include:

1. The previously mentioned three car garage for Randy

2. A soaking tub in the master bathroom for Randy

3. The master bedroom is separate from any of the other bedrooms

4. An area available in the front of the house for what Georgia calls “the parlor”. She plans on putting her grandparents’ furniture there.

5. Room for Randy’s electric piano
6. At least three bedrooms (actually four) which will include a guest bedroom
7. An open family room/kitchen
8. High ceilings through the house
9. More square footage than our Grants Pass house
10. Lots of storage in the kitchen (including a pantry)
11. Big closets in the master bedroom

We selected a façade that fits the Desert Southwest.

To put the floor plan into our lot they reversed the orientation from what is listed on the builder’s website. We present it here with the orientation that it has on our lot.
