Business News - The OLSON INN

In this article we feature the newest overnight accommodation in Yuma, the Olson Inn, which recently opened for business. Accommodations feature one exclusive guest room, and an overflow room for additional guests.

The exclusive guest room is decorated in shades of blue and brown. The bed, purchased recently, features expandable sleeping – configured as a daybed for one person, but can convert to a king size. Bedding was acquired during the rare early-morning Black Friday shopping expedition where it was discounted heavily.

One nightstand is from an eclectic line - Randy's Grandpa Olson, the other one is an import from Oregon. Artwork includes paintings from a little known artist, Randy's Aunt Thelma Saltern.

The curtains, created by GRO Fiber Arts (AKA “Georgia”), include fabric from the local JoAnn’s store, also at a premium sale discount. The bathroom for this guest room is just across the hall.

The overflow room, when not in use for guests, is used by a fiber artist. The room features cable TV, and exercise equipment. A comfortable settee is available for TV viewing. When needed for guests, the bed(s) will be puffed up to carefully fit the needs of exacting customers.

The window treatments are another exclusive of GRO Fiber Arts. Their location at the top of the window is not fixed. Their ingenious mechanism, using velcro, allows them to be rolled down completely for nighttime darkness. This guest room can hold up to two guests depending on how the bed(s) are configured. A second bath room is next door.

Please reserve early since space is limited. Bookings have been brisk, and one customer has already reserved a night in late February.
