Fenced and Textured

Efforts on the house have continued this week as the brick for the fence was brought in and the corner posts and first course of bricks were laid. We now can see the size of the yard and the location of our future vegetable garden on the west side of the house.

The dry wall work on the interior walls is now complete with the top texturing coat having been applied. The builder told us that the house is to be all painted by August 23, which is only 7 working days away. This means that the doors will need to be put in, and then the interior painted, followed shortly by the cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms.  The tile and carpet will come in after that.

We are not sure when the roofing tile will be applied, but it must all be done by close to the end of September - only 27 working days away.  The exterior walls must also be painted, driveway & walkways poured, and landscaping planted, etc. Can you tell? We are getting excited!
